Rubens Barrichello showed that his form in Spain wasn't just a one off when he raced to first in the Morning Practice Session and third in the afternoon session. Lewis Hamilton performed very well coming 3rd in the first practice and second in the last. Jensen Button had a slow first session but improved in the last posting the fourth quickest time of the day. Nico Rosberg finished first in the last session posting the quickest time of the day. Felipe Massa had two good sessions finishing second and fifth.
Robert Kubica's engine caught on fire in the last session and he had an awful first continuing his awful form.
