It encourages spam, if you don't have a spam section, people won't spam. The section just creates spam...

with out the spam section this forum would be clogged up in it!
i have been on other forums with out a spam section and there is loads of spam around the forum.

Spam is anything that doesn't contribute. The only purpose of spam is to increase a forums total post count... Find a "Successful" forum with a spam forum and you can have 20p.

So? That doesn't matter, it increases the overall forum postcount and that's its only purpose. Any self respecting admin won't want a forum of spam... :|
