The Cool Report outlines activity on a range of areas, including the top 20 items kids have searched for over the past month. These results are split into primary and secondary school age groups, with gender influences also highlighted. Month-on-month comparisons are featured, as are details on risers and fallers. A commentary gleaned from a panel of Swapitshop members will offer its views each month.
November's report revealed Playboy as the fifth most searched-for term for primary age users and the disappearance of playground collectibles Scoubidous and wristbands from the overall top 20 - both of which had held top spots eight weeks earlier.
"The youth reports that already exist are mostly annual and quickly out of date. This offers marketers an up to date, in-depth summary of where kids' thinking is at," said Swapitshop managing director Jonathan Attwood.
Elsewhere under the header "scams and techniques", the study reports on the marketing techniques and language under-18s adopt to sell their products on auctions.
A section is also included on industry changes in the youth market and there is information about laws relating to the youth market.
