With the very first Swapitshop (the one that folded and was bought out and became the orange and green one that in turn evolved into the present one) you could accept the points that were bid on your item so that if you wanted points in a hurry you could in effect turn the bid into a swap-now. Always thought that was useful seeing as once someone bids you can't change anything or lower your swap-now
