Where text was at the top of the forum for "See the email" or "Click here to donate", put a rollover button that says "Join", then "To get swapits, chat and more..." underneath in a smaller font.
It would bring in more members and make it easier to register etc.

btw, the smaller text underneath should be like "To chat, get swapits and more..." - cause the original one didn't sound as good
