Would it be possible to allow members to post anonymously in certain forums? I was just thinking it might make, for example, "Relationships" more popular if people know they aren't being judged.

I think its a good idea, but if they really wanted to be anonymous surely they would just make a new new account?
im pretty sure thats what alot of members do allready.

Suppose so, but that still requires a different email address and it's just a lot of Swapitshop Forum3.

Then I don't think you can do it. The only possible way is too make it so guests can post in the forum.

Well I think if they can't talk to people they don't even know then its they fault. Sorry but you can post a new toic and people will help if people start to judge on other members then they will be banned.

Make an account called "Relationships". Make it so that they can't PM etc (remove the priveleges).
make the flood posts really small for just that user (for example - 2 minutes so no spam).
Give the password out publicly.
Of course, it would have to be moderated.

The point of a forum is that you can be completely anonymous. However, in a community such as SSF you get to know other members so that anonymity fades.
However, the idea of Guests or a well-policed Relationships account sounds good.

I like this idea.
I like the whole anonymity idea, we could even have like a postsecret kind of thing going on.
