Not had a smoking debate for awhile, so thought i'd start one.

How many members smoke on here? If anyone, what are the reasons you do it, or why you started.

Personaly, I have smoked previously, but have given up.

I don't smoke, never have but my parents smoke and it gets really annoying when your choking whilst watching the t.v.

Not to mention the smell, they become immune to the smell of it.

Theres no 'benefits' to smoking at all.

I have never smoked and never will

Both my parents used to smoke but not now, my mum stopped when one of her student's mothers died of cancer (from smoking), so she saw what potentially her smoking could do to me.

I think smoking is started off by smelling the smoke and your friends/enemies daring you to try a cigarette.
70% of people who have family that smoke, are more likely not to.
Smoking is a practice where a substance, most commonly tobacco, is burned and the smoke tasted or inhaled. This is primarily done as a form of recreational drug use, as combustion releases the active substances in drugs such as nicotine and makes them available for absorption through the lungs. It can also be done as a part of rituals, to induce trances and spiritual enlightenment. The most common method of smoking today is through cigarettes, primarily industrially manufactured but also hand-rolled from loose tobacco and rolling paper. Other smoking tools includes pipes, cigars, hookahs and bongs.
Less common drugs for smoking include cannabis and opium. Most drugs that are smoked are considered to be addictive. Some of the substances are classified as hard narcotics, like heroin and crack cocaine, but the use of these is very limited as they are often not commercially available.

i dont smoke, but sum of ma mates do. it gets annoying standin there talkin 2 them while they gotta fag in dere mouth, 2nd hand smoke all ova ya face.
