Username/Password:

Make Sure You're Entering You're Username And Password Correctly, If You Know You Have Entered It Correctly Then Try Again And Type It Slowly, And Remember The Password Is Case-Sensitive. If You Still Can't Login Then Simply Do The 'Forgot Password' Process.

Cookies/Cache:

If You Can't Login Then Simply Delete You're Cookies And Cache. If You're On Mozilla Firefox.. Then Click Ctrl+Shift+Delete And Enable All The Ticks And Press 'Ok'. If You're On Internet Explorer Then Simply Click.. Tools >> Internet Options >> Delete Files & Delete Cookies. If This Still Doesn't Work Then Go Onto The Next Step.

End-Of-The-Month:

At The End Of Each Month There Will Be A Bit Of Downtime On The Login Process Because Swapitshop Count Up All The Friends Link Clicks And Add You're Points, So Wait For About One Hour And Try The Login Again.

Try-On-Different-Computer:

If You Can, Try On A Different Computer And A Different Internet Connection.. If It Works On Other Peoples Computer/Internet Then It Maybe You're Computer. Try Using A Different Browser.

Another thing that I find that causes login problems is 'Cookie control'. Here's a quick picture on how to turn it off for Swapitshop. I think this method may solve it for Firefox users as well.
