Exams are closer. Revision gets harder. So how do you keep yourself motivated? Even if it's just doing homework in general, it's hard to stay focused and keep yourself off of the computer long enough to get things done isn't it? This thread aims to put together all the ideas that may help us all stay motivated. If you have any thoughts, just post them Hopefully we'll be able to reach our goals!
- Visualise the results. What university do you want to get into? What career or job do you want? You can't get somewhere without walking towards it. You can't have something without paying the price.
- Pace yourself. You don't have to take a huge step, just slowly take baby-steps. For example, revise a little each day and eventually it will seem routine.
- Reward yourself. Chocolate? An hour on the laptop? Anything that will make you happy, do after the thing you know you need to do.
- Consequences. Think about what will happen if you don't revise! Fail to prepare, prepare to fail!
- Get the help you need. During the exam period, if things are so bad, ask your parents to hide the things that will distract you.
- The environment you need. Go somewhere quite where there's no one and nothing to distract you.
- Get plenty of exercise and sleep! It works. It keeps you focused.
Exams happen once. Get it right the first time and you'll feel good about yourself and won't have to worry afterwards! It's all worth it in the end _________________

Good advice
My problem is i can never revise without some noise in the background - either tv or music - which is probably really bad _________________

Well if you need the noise, then it's good If it distracts you, then it's bad lol _________________
