Racing games = Midnight club 3 Dub Edition or Gran Turismo 4. This is because they were both amazing and i played them non stop for like 3 months each.
Shooting Game = CoD WaW or Modern Warfare (though the latter i havn't played much) I like these because they are absolutely ace online.
Family Game = Viva Pinata without a doubt. I like htis game due to it being highly addictive and very colourful.

Game: Super Mario Galaxy on the wii
Reason: Not quite sure, i'm just finding it highly addictive lol. For some reason it's the game I find myself on mostly.
But it's like most games, i'll soon get bored of it and a new one will take over.

I've got 3. Only one of them is quite a new game though.
Game: Call of Duty 2
Reason: The most awesome game I've ever played. It's miles better than COD:WaW and COD4:MW.
Game: Rock Band 2
Reason: There is over 600 songs to choose from and I haven't got bored of it since I got the first RB game.
Game: Guitar Hero 2
Reason: It's the best GH game. It really got me into music and rhythm games. If the timing window for hammer ons and pull offs was larger on GH1 that would be the best.
Other games which are awesome are:
Fallout 3, BioShock and Burnout Paradise
